Artech is the manufacturer of the Artech Sealing Plugs (ASP) sealing system
The Artech Sealing Plugs (ASP) are the ideal sealing system for the single passage of pipes and tubes through walls, floors and ceilings. The seal consists of two equal, semi-circular rubber parts that together create a perfect seal and is available in all common sizes for PVC pipes, DIN and ASTM casings and drill holes. It is available as a sealing plug and as plugs with a wide variety of internal diameters, making sealing no longer necessary.
By using the Artech Sealing Plug (ASP) in Fire Safe (FS) quality, in addition to a gas and watertight seal, a fire-resistant solution is also created for your pipe.
Available in various types of rubber
The Artech Sealing Plugs are available in five different types of rubber, all with different material properties, making them suitable for a wide variety of applications. Whether it is about creating a watertight, gasimpermeable, fire-retardant, oil- or chemical-resistant seal or when it needs to seal at extreme temperatures, the Artech Sealing Plug offers you the right solution.
They are available in the following types of rubber:
EPDM
- Colour: black
- Temperature range: -25°C/+110°C
- Standard rubber for a gas and watertight seal (including heating pipes and water pipes)
Fire Safe (FS)
- Colour: red
- Temperature range: -30°C/+120°C
- Fire-retardant rubber (including fire-retardant, gas and watertight sealing of pipes)
Nitrile (NBR)
- Colour: blue
- Temperature range: -25°C/+110°C
- Water and gas-tight – resistant to the effects of oil and grease (e.g. hydraulic installations)
Silicone
- Colour: brown
- Temperature range: -60°C/+200°C
- Water and gas-tight – resistant to large temperature differences (e.g. in cooling and steam pipes)
Viton (FPM)
- Colour: green
- Temperature range: -25°C/+200°C
- Water and gas-tight – resistant to the effects of oil, grease and chemicals (e.g. in laboratories and hydraulic installations)
Properties of the Artech Sealing Plugs:
The Artech Sealing Plugs have the following properties:
- 60 minutes fire resistance (tested according to IMO regulations)
- Successfully tested up to 3 bar pressure resistance (Lloyd’s Register)
- Suitable for passing through pipes such as PVC pipes, casing pipes (DIN and ASTM format) and in boreholes
- Resistant to gas, water, pressure
- Large range of successive sizes available
- No additional parts or specific tools are required for assembly
