Coating

Rubber is often the ideal solution for a specific application or seal because of its many good properties, of which the flexibility and elasticity are of course the most unique. However, it is also a material with a very high friction resistance, something that can sometimes lead to problems. For example, in dynamic applications, wear and the creation of a lot of friction heat at the seal. Or the sticking together of rubber products in the packaging or the difficulty of mounting the rubber product during installation. A coating may be the solution in this case.

Many of these problems can be solved by applying a coating to the surface of the rubber moulded products. This is often a friction-reducing PTFE layer. However, different coatings can be chosen, depending on your application. For example, there are coatings that are FDA approved, or that increase chemical and aging resistance. A color coating can also be applied for recognition or a specific coating for low outgassing for certain (semi-con) applications. In principle, the coating does not change the flexibility and properties of the rubber moulded article.
