At Artech, we strive for sustainability by providing innovative solutions for the reuse of rubber. With our sustainable rubber compounds, we contribute to a circular economy and reduce the environmental impact of rubber production.
Rubber gets its unique properties through vulcanization, where the polymer is crosslinked and which results in elasticity and other characteristic features. However, once the rubber has been vulcanized, it is no longer (easily) recyclable. Nevertheless, after years of research and development, we have succeeded in converting end-of-life tires and our production waste back into a raw material that can be reprocessed into products for high-quality applications.
What does Artech Rubber offer in the field of sustainable compounds?
At Artech Rubber, we are actively committed to sustainability. Thanks to years of research and development, we now process more than 150 tons of recycled rubber per year. By devulcanizing old tires and our production waste, we produce technical rubber moulded products with excellent material properties.
With our expertise in compound development and knowledge of rubber recipes, Artech is able to efficiently integrate rubber devulcanizate into our compounds or even develop completely new compounds that consist almost entirely of devulcanizate. This enables us to supply a wide variety of compounds with a wide range of material properties.
Our innovative materials
- Flexibility in hardness and application: Our compounds range from 55 to 80 Shore and suitable for both static and dynamic applications.
- Smooth surface: The quality of our sustainable compounds is so good that they produce smooth surfaces. They are therefore also suitable for seals or profiles.
- High percentage of recycled material: Depending on the application, the proportion of devulcanizate can be up to almost 100%.
- Leading expertise: Our practical and academic knowledge in the field of compound development makes us a pioneer in sustainable rubber technology.
- Processing over 150 tons of rubber waste per year, including truck tire devulcanizate and production waste from specialist rubber types such as EPDM.
