Transfer Moulding

High-quality production with Transfer Moulding at Artech Rubber

At Artech Rubber we use transfer moulding to produce complex rubber parts with high precision. This method combines elements of compression and injection moulding, making it ideal for medium to large series.

How does this process work?

The production process takes place in four clear steps:

  1. Preheating: The rubber is placed in a pot and heated to a specific temperature, making it easier to process.
  2. Transfer: Using a plunger, the heated material is pressed under pressure through a small opening into the cavities of the mould.
  3. Curing: Under heat and pressure, the rubber takes on its final shape, hardens (vulcanizes) and acquires its final (elastic) properties.
  4. Cooling and removal: After curing (vulcanizing), the mould is opened and the final product is removed, usually by hand.

What are the benefits of Transfer Moulding?

Precision: Suitable for parts with detailed designs and tight tolerances.
Efficiency: Perfect for medium to large series.
Complex shapes: Can realize challenging designs that are difficult to make with other techniques.
Flexibility: Combines advantages of different production processes.
